Mourning
Beloveth - Dust (Sentinel)
I want to start off by saying this is a very artistic CD. MOURNING BELOVETH
are, in my humble opinion, the best doom metal band out there, even better
than MY DYING BRIDE. MOURNING BELOVETH have a distinct sound, with "emotional"
riffing and vocals. The drums are slow, so is the riffing, which adds
much effect to the melancholic atmosphere that they do a good job of producing.
You have two vocals, one is singing and the other is a guttural deathmetalish
growl. The solos are really good, again, emotional, and the acoustic guitar
is used throughout parts of the CD which adds significant effect. I'm
still undecided on what the is best part of the CD was, the vocals or
the guitars, because they seem to me equally as good. These guys are excellent
musicians, and really know how to play their instruments. If you asked
what my favorite song was on "Dust," I couldn't tell you, because
all of them are equally good/perfect. That brings me to another point,
while listening to MOURNING BELOVETH I couldn't think anything other than
perfection. This is the best doom metal CD I ever listened too, and I
say this without even the smallest bit of hesitation. 110/100!!!
