March 2001 Newsletter

After nine long and tedious months the debut CD will receive its first public hearing on March 24 in the Gasworks along with the launch of Sentinel Records' Irish compilation "In Unison". The gig starts at 3 o' clock with Moonfog and the mighty Mael Mordha supporting.

The CD was officially launched on January 23 and has received nothing but positive comments so far. We have not been able to spread the word throughout the underground across the world as yet due to delays and complications with the printers over the fliers, but this has now been put to rest and so onwards to world domination (or something like that).

A recent trip to Belgium to the Peacefest saw Mourning Beloveth return in triumph having 3 songs played before My Dying Bride took the stage and so the word is creeping through the underground slowly but surely.

Following the launch gig, Mourning Beloveth plan to hit the rest of the country within the following weeks with gigs planned in Belfast, Galway, Cork, Limerick and kicking off on Paddy's night in Kilkenny with Disturbed.

We will be joined, hopefully, on this trek by our partners in crime Mael Mordha - more on that front as the events unfold. In August Mourning Beloveth plan to do a self-financed tour of approximately 6 dates in Germany, The Czech Republic, Belgium and Holland........ of course.

This will depend on how the sales of the CD go so lend your support by buying the CD, going to the gigs and staying DOOMED. Coming soon will be full colour, front and backprint t-shirts. On the music front, Mourning Beloveth have completed three new songs and are planning to record a mini CD in November which will continue along the same lines as "Dust" but heavier, and with more focus on melody.

Stay tuned.
